Terms of use.

These terms are the agreement between you and Layover Financial Ltd (trading as Layover), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17306033). By downloading or using the Last Legal app, you agree to them.

They apply alongside the terms of the store you downloaded the app from (the Apple Media Services Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, or the Google Play Terms of Service). If these terms and the store's terms conflict on how the app is licensed or paid for, the store's terms apply.

If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Last Legal is an independent, privately developed product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with British Airways, International Airlines Group (IAG), or any of their subsidiaries, or any other airline. It is not approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority or any other regulator.

Last Legal is intended for working cabin crew and flight crew aged 18 or over. There's no account to create: the app works on your phone, offline.

You're responsible for the phone you use it on, including keeping it secure and up to date.

Don't do anything that would obviously make this worse for the rest of us. Specifically, don't:

• Present Last Legal's figures as an official, operator-approved or regulator-approved calculation.
• Use Last Legal to pressure a crew member into operating, or to mislead anyone about a duty limit.
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the app, or get around the Limiting Factor purchase.
• Use the app for anything unlawful.

Last Legal works out indicative figures, such as a maximum flight duty period, a back-by time and minimum rest, from the information you enter and from the UK flight time limitation rules (UK Regulation (EU) No 965/2012 as retained, Annex III, Subpart FTL, and the related certification specifications), as described on the app's Info screen.

These figures are a tool to help you check your day. They are not your operator's flight time specification scheme, not operational, legal or regulatory advice, and not a substitute for your roster, your Operations Manual (OM-A) or your company's procedures.

In particular:

• Your operator's approved scheme, OM-A and crewing instructions are authoritative. If a Last Legal figure and your operator's figure disagree, your operator's figure applies.
• Last Legal does not model everything in the rules. The Info screen lists what is and isn't modelled, including commander's discretion, planned extensions, unacclimatised crew, split duty and cumulative limits.
• The figures depend on what you enter. A wrong time or sector count gives a wrong answer.
• Whether a sector operates, and any use of discretion, is the commander's decision. Last Legal never tells you whether you can or can't operate.

We take care to keep the figures correct and check them against the published rules, but we don't guarantee they're correct for your operator, your circumstances or a particular day. If you think a figure is wrong, please tell us at hello@getlayover.app.

Limiting Factor is an optional, one-off in-app purchase that adds whole-crew calculations. It is not a subscription.

• You buy it through the App Store or Google Play, who take the payment. Their terms cover payment, refunds and family sharing.
• You can restore it on another phone or after reinstalling, using the same Apple or Google account, from the Info screen.
• Section 05 applies to Limiting Factor figures in the same way as everything else.

Your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for digital content, are not affected by these terms.

The times, sectors and crew details you enter are stored only on your phone. We don't receive them. See the privacy policy for exactly what we do and don't collect.

If you enter other crew members' names, keep to what you need for the calculation.

Last Legal is a working product made by one person. Features will be added, removed or changed, and the figures will be updated when the rules change. Where a change would materially affect how you use the app, we'll tell you in the app. We won't remove Limiting Factor from people who have bought it while we continue to offer the app.

You can stop using Last Legal at any time by deleting the app. We may stop offering the app, or stop updating it. If we do, we'll give reasonable notice in the app where we can. A copy already on your phone may keep working offline, but it won't receive updates, including updates for changes to the rules, so you shouldn't rely on it after that.

Last Legal is provided "as is". We try to keep it accurate and available, but we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, beyond what the law requires.

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of Last Legal, including, specifically, losses arising from relying on a Last Legal figure instead of your operator's: for example, operational decisions, duty or rest planning, disciplinary or regulatory action, or lost earnings. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law says cannot be limited, and nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer law in your home country gives you a different right.
